Checking in again

It's been a long time, but that is nothing new for me. I get so busy, it is hard to sit down and put my thoughts ...hmmm, I was going to say on paper. But alas, that is no longer the case. The modern world is all around me. Part of me embraces the new and thinks it is wonder. Then there is a part of me that loves the old ways. You know, like holding and reading an actual book or getting a REAL letter in the USPS mail. Not something that was forwarded to me and 100 of your closest friends. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the forwarded emails, well at least most of them. But there's nothing like opening your mail box and finding a letter that is written just to you. I have many letters and cards that I have received through the years tucked away. From time to time, I pull them out and read them. I notice the hand writing of the person who sent it. Sometimes, there is even a lingering smell that will remind you of that person's perfume. That is hard to do with an email.... :(  But I am slowly getting used to all of the new fangled gadgets that are out there. My grandchildren would rather text me than call me.  OK, I know that is the thing now. But, it's nice to hear the person's voice now and then. You have know idea how quickly those sweet little voices are replaced by a more adult sounding voice.

Enough about that.  I am sitting here looking out the window. It rained all night, but it has actually turned out to be a nice day. I love the Fall. There is a hint of coolness in the air, the leaves are starting to turn. In my case, I have Sycamore trees. They will just drop tens of thousands of leaves in my yard from now until after Thanksgiving. Uggggh. I try to rake them, but it is no use. They just continue to fall. I bought one of those yard vacuums. I thought that would be fun. It was, for the first 5 minutes. Then my husband takes the darn thing from me and finishes the job. LOL I just he thought I was having too much fun. Now, every time I say I am going to go clean the yard, he like, "I'm fixin' ta do it. You don't need to be out there messing with that stuff". But I don't mind....... really I don't. Oh well.

I am going to close now. It's almost time for some SEC football!!!! I live to watch my GA Bulldogs play. They have not had the best season so far. But win or loose, I will always be a UGA fan. Sooooo taa taa for now. Hopefully it won't be another year before I write again.

GOOOO Dawgs!!!!
